PIM #3 -
Presentation of the draft
Locally Preferred Alternative
Our third public information meeting, held on Monday May 13, 2002 at the
Alliant Energy Center, gave people a chance to get updated on the progress
of the study and to comment on the draft Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA)
for the greater Madison metropolitan area. As the third and final public
information meeting on the Transport 2020 study, the meeting focused on
the study’s recommendation for the Locally Preferred Alternative.

As
customary, time was allotted preceding the meeting to allow visitors to
talk one-on-one with Transport 2020 study staff. Visitors were able to get
briefed on the progress of the study prior to the presentation at 6 p.m.
The presentation was then followed by a question-and-answer session.
